Today I will be partaking in the Fandom Friday because I feel like this is my post; when prompted what are my comfort films I was able to list them off so easily. Technically, there are more than 5 responses here but lets not get hung up on the details.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Not surprising, right? If you know but one thing about me is that I'm obsessed. Any mood that strikes can be calmed and controlled with a viewing of Guardians of the Galaxy. The music is too perfect and the characters are my favourite and I still can't get over Groot.
Again, it's not a big shocker. It's the music. Music is the biggest distraction for me, and my greatest love. As well as being such an awesome soundtrack I am a huge fangirl over Frozen. I love that it's sisters and love and I don't care for all the internet hate about Frozen. It's amazing, okay?
I'm going to sound like a broken record - but how good is the Shrek soundtrack? Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed. The songs get stuck in my head so easily (it's not hard when it's Smash Mouth) but I think I got obsessed with Shrek when I was younger because it's a Princess Fiona. this was a big thing for me.
Harry Potter (2001-2011)
Put on any HP film and I will be instantly soothed and hopelessly lost in the world of magic. It's too good, even after all the rewatching and spotting of little things I don't like (continuity being one of the bug-a-boos but I suppose that can't be avoided)
The Cornetto Trilogy (2004-2013)
My biggest love. This trilogy is the only set of films where I've actually watched commentary versions and picked up little facts that I share with everyone when we are watching it. That includes reading Simon Pegg's Nerd Do Well, obviously. Simon Pegg is an absolute hero of mine and I love Nick Frost too and this duo can do no wrong in my eyes. Except when they got married and had kids but fine whatever, let's not get crazy about it. They are way out of my league anyway.
