5 Character Names My Children Might Be (Un)lucky Enough to Inherit #Fandom5

This post has been so fun to write and I was excited about this one since it was announced as a prompt! I've thought long and hard about character names I would name my children after. Maybe this will happen, maybe it won't. Come back in 5-10 years and we shall see (although my boyfriend has totally shot down all of these names, I'll persevere)

Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

I was excited about this book because it is a post-apocalypse told from different perspectives; the start of the collapse caused by a flu virus wiping out civilisation as we know it, as well as insight to many years after that and parts before it in the world we are familiar with (and I'd also heard some great reviews about this book). It appealed to my dystopian side and made me uncover a whole post-apocalypse side of myself too - although I prefer zombie versions, this did not disappoint.

"An audacious, darkly glittering novel set in the eerie days of civilization's collapse, Station Eleven tells the spellbinding story of a Hollywood star, his would-be savior, and a nomadic group of actors roaming the scattered outposts of the Great Lakes region, risking everything for art and humanity." Guest Post // Rickets Resurgence

For ages now I've been trying to get my boyfriend, Matthew, to write up a blog post. He is full of ideas but generally has no time to actually write anything down because his Medicine Degree is so time consuming. We've found a nice compromise, today we're sharing a presentation he did on rickets but we've converted it so it is suitable for a blog post. It's very different to what I normally post, but maybe you'll find it interesting.

Guide: How to get the Magus Sisters in FFX

I don't know about anyone else but for me, when I'm in the middle of the game and looking for help I hate going through forums to find a bunch of different answers and have to wonder what is right. And all the different searching when people only part answer a question. I've devised this post, mainly for myself in the future, to help get the Magus Sisters and all the nuisancey little things you need to do in order to get them in as short a version as possible.

16 Vampire Novel Recommendations

Since it's almost Valentine's Day and there is no way I'm sharing Erotic Fiction recommendations I thought I'd try to recommend some Vampire Novels (a close second). I'm going to be brutally honest here, I'm not the biggest fan of Vampires. I think Twilight ruined it for me (ouch, sorry Twihard fans) but I know Vampire Fiction is a big thing for some people so I thought I'd explore and see if I can find some good ones to sink your fangs in to! (I'm not even sorry for the pun)

Similar to previous recommendation posts, I'm going to cover a range here, some younger kids books to some more adult (and maybe even raunchy) novels. All of the images and little teasers are from Goodreads so if something intrigues you click on the link to find out more!

Alternative Valentine Gifts

Of all the days in the year, Valentine's is my least favourite. Couples clogging up the cinema and restaurant bookings every where you turn. I thought I'd make a little list of alternative gifts so we can avoid the classic chocolates, jewelry and get some actual Valentine's day plans on the go that stray from the norm a little.

5 Funko Pop! Figures I Need to get My Hands On #Fandom5

I was so excited about this prompt for the #Fandom5 project that I wrote it up almost immediately after it was announced. I love Pop! Figures. Let's be honest, most of my wages went on these for a little while until I was told to stop so I am very excited to browse for my next purchases.

Coop Chicken House, Newcastle: The Revisit

One of my most popular posts on the blog was my visit to Coop Chicken House and when Restaurant Week came about I knew there was only one place I wanted to go. I ummed and ahhed about writing a revisit post for ages but decided to just go for it since some things had changed and we tried a few new sauces too.
