What I Read in 2014

Back in Summer I made myself a little Reading List and set myself the aim to read 20 books by the end of 2014. Sometimes I'm a bit hit and miss with reading. Some books I'll read quickly over a couple of days whereas others I will read slowly and before I know it months have passed. 20 books was a lot of books for me as I was just getting back in to reading so had no idea how I would fair with this challenge but how did I do with the challenge that I set myself in July?

Unfinished:

2. "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury
3. "Station Eleven" by Emily St. John Mandel

I did it! I was suprised because I didn't actually think I'd complete it - especially once Christmas hit and I was so busy with other things but there you go. Happily read 20 books and reviewed 8 of them As this was over 6 months, my new challenge is to read 40 books in 2015 which is doable now that I am 100% back in to reading and have a to read list the size of my arm (and a pile of books up to my waist of things I need to read). You can keep up to date on my Goodreads.

What are your reading challenges this year?

  1. I set myself a goal of 35 for the year. In 2014, I had a goal of 30 and ended up reading 49!!! But I still wanted to keep my goal low, simply so I don't feel pressured to read ALL the time.

    1. Smart move :) Currently I think I can do it but then I worked out it's like reading one book every week and a bit so I might crumble a little near the end but hopefully not :)
