Nabbed from Gamerwife's original post
Earlier this month Gamerwife posted her Geeky Confessions and I loved them and the many other bloggers who posted their confessions too. So I'm joining in!
Like many other geeky confessions I too love the Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. However that has only come after watching the films as I've never read it. I tried to read The Hobbit but Tolkien's books are too wordy for me and I can't make it all the way through. Truth be told, I'll buy a leather-bound version of both book sets just for display purposes.
I like to think of myself as a big gamer considering I spend loads of hours a day in front of a console but one game that I've never got in to is The Legend of Zelda. I plan to, eventually, but I just don't get the hype of it. I know enough to know that Zelda is the princess and you play as Link though and that has got me through many conversations so it looks like I know my stuff.
It's not the best thing on telly but I like it. I've seen others complaining because it's sexist? Or something or other but I don't notice that. It's also going on for an age, especially since it's been confirmed up to Season 10 but I don't mind. I love the geeky references and relate to Amy Farrah Fowler so much, she's my favourite. It has definitely gotten better since Bernadette and Amy have came in and given a better image of women in science (other than the mean and irritating Leslie Winkle).
I didn't ever understand what was going on and I didn't even watch past Season 2 but I loved Season 1. I was so obsessed with the TV Show I made a Powerpoint on each of the characters with facts about them and other information. I also had the biggest crush on Dominic Monaghan because of his character, Charlie, and I adore him as Merry in LOTR.
Sometimes they find me and it frustrates me but sometimes I find them and I don't mind. I only don't mind because I actively went and found them out accidentally on purpose but if you drop a spoiler-bomb on me I'll be dying on the inside. I'll ask people who've finished the books and TV shows what happens, I'm just way too impatient to wait especially for Film and TV Series where the UK release is an eternity behind the US. I also can't avoid Tumblr, it has so many good gifs (but sooo full of spoilers too).
What are your geeky confessions?
